just purchased a new A12 tried to set a personalised ringtone but this model doesn't support this contacted the Samsung support team they told because I have the most recent software this facility might have been removed and to leave feedback on the Samsung Members App under support but on my App there is no support section hopefully the Engineers and Developers read these posts and fix this facility to personalise your phone

press the add button on lower right (+) → send feedback → apps

The section in your Samsung Members App is Get Help and then Send Feedback.

In regards to ringtones perhaps your downloading a file that's not supported.

Personally I use zedge.com 

It's available from.your browsers url or the app is in the Playstore.

Give it a go.

Hi I meant personalise a ringtone per contact from the ringtone on the phone also I found the feedback section and I'm trying to use ringtones from my lists not downloaded hopefully someone can help

@Sniper303: If you head to the Contacts app > Select a contact > Tap 'Edit' at the bottom of the screen > View More > Scroll to the bottom > Ringtone, you should be able to assign a ringtone to the selected contact. If the option isn't available, try moving your contacts to the phone's internal storage via Contacts > Tap the 3 lines in the top left > Manage Contacts > Move Contacts.

I have tried everything you have said AndrewL but there is no option for ringtones even when the contact is in the internal memory as I have moved all my contacts to the phone thanks anyway for your advice have tried it again but still no luck

I think that the problem that I'm having I was caused by a software update because I could assign ringtones on my other Samsung phone but after updating the software to Android 11 the facility disappeared this new A12 is the same hope the company sorts it out so people can personalise their own phones

Hi just found how to set a personal ringtone you have to allow permissions when you go to edit View more where it has an music note icon then you can access the ringtones hope this helps someone else as I found it by trial and error
