I bought a Sansung a20 in the Netherlands in March and I WAS NOT INFORMED BY THE SELLER that it has a regional block. I am now in Brazil and I cant use my phone. i already tried to make a call to a dutch number in order to remove this restriction (as mentioned in the guidelines in the phone itself for this case) however i still need the MCK code in order to unblock it

Hi @Nathalia23,
Unfortunate that the reseller did not inform you about the region lock. Although it is mentioned on the box of your phone.
Other users above already mentioned what to do. You can try to make a call with a Dutch sim for about 5-10 minutes. If that doesn't work, we have to request a unlock code for you.

What an annoying problem it must be now..
So if i'm right you bought your A20 as second hand Smartphone? Self I honestly don't know very much about this MCK-CODE so the only thing I can is helping you maybe a little more to fix this, so I looked a little around for you on the internet and found this website:
https://www.simplyunlocked.co.uk/unlocking-guides/general-samsung-unlocking-instructions/
They give an clearly description there and maybe it helps you something further!
PS, This website was the most clearest wat I found on that moment by, I looked on more website but this where the best.. Hopefully it is a little helpful for you, good luck!

All Samsungs start with a regional lock until you have done your first call.
The only thing you can do right now is to calll or contact Samsung support and ask them to remove the lock. As far as I know they will, but it is a lengthy procedure to deter users from buying "grey import" phones.
Your explanation is reasonable, and Samsung Support can be very helpful.
