Latest update on A53 SIM no longer recognised

This morning's ui8 update has left me without a phone as now the Sim is no longer detected.

after trying all the online suggestions (including multiple mobile setting resets) I tried a factory reset. However, this also downloaded ui8 , so that didn't work either.

I've just noticed the GPS reception is also non functioning. 

I have raised an error report and received an acknowledgement. 

I seen a few other's with the same problem.

I have the same problem, I have also tried all of the ways to try and fix the problem.  I have also noticed that the Mobile networks button has been removed. I take that Samsung hasn't addressed this issue yet. It's a little difficult to work without a phone these days.
