Has anyone experienced jumpy GPS using the Galaxy A54? I took a 1.8 mile walk this afternoon and my phone said I had gone 2.65 miles. Affects Strava and Pacer apps equally. I'm wondering if I should return the phone as accurate GPS is essential.

I don't use those apps, but use Google fit that maps my walks and Google maps for driving which seem accurate enough. Have you also checked that the apps you use are set for precise location.

I know Strava is unreliable but and according to some reviews on Play Store it can be inaccurate.

I have checked the location setup. Precise location is on. I turned off the options for using WiFi and Bluetooth to add accuracy, because that seemed to be making the problem worse.

In the Samsung members app you can also use the phone diagnostics to check the location accuracy along with Bluetooth and WiFi etc.

My first and now my replacement A54 have the same problem.  Erratic and unreliable location services/GPS.

It is not the Apps installed.  I did a factory reset and the problem still persists.  I did a simultaneous side by side with the S9 it replaced with the same factory installed google maps app; and the S9 found the location immediately, the A54 eventually found it and then wandered off to multiple different locations.

I have the same issue. I have had the A54 5G phone for a year now and it still hasn't been resolved.

I use google maps for navigation and I oftentimes lose GPS signal while maps is in use. It is a very frustrating issue and I have to keep using my old phone for navigation because I can't trust this one to have reliable GPS signal.

It is not the apps.  I have done all the steps suggested multiple times on two different A54s. Sometimes that fixes the problem temporarily but it returns. I have never, ever had this problem with galaxy phones before. A user should not have to jump through hoops on a new phone to get the A54 to do what is an accepted basic smartphone task. This phone should either be recalled or needs a major software fix. Just the fact that it is so persistent indicates something other than an app problem.

I agree. Hopefully Samsung acknowledges this issue and makes amend.

I have given up on it being fixed and i am now waiting for when I will be able to trade it in for another phone
