Bluetooth disconnecting due to gps

My samsung a54 repeadly disconnects my bluetooth headphones whenever I try to use GPS to track exercise - have tried using fitbit watch, fitbit app and samsung app to track with GPS and have used Sony headphones as well as my galaxy earbuds. Whatever I do I cannot keep the headphones connected via Bluetooth if I am using GPS which is ridiculous. It disconnects that much that it restarts the phone at times too. 

Any advice?!

Have you tried disabling wifi scanning whilst using GPS?

Settings>location>location services. Toggle off wifi scanning.

Thanks. Try resetting bluetooth settings

Settings>general management >reset >reset wifi and Bluetooth settings.
