I have just bought a Galaxy A31 paying more than € 200!
Is there a ***** way to remove the Samsung Calendar app?
I'm using another calendar app and I'm happy with it, I don't want the Samsung calendar app around!
Moreover Samsung Calendar app is occupying (basically wasting) 66MB of my phone memory.
Last but not least I can not even find a way to disable it. 😡
I'm wondering why Samsung feels the need to put on his phones apps that are so hard/impossible to uninstall/disable.

THAT SAMSUNG CALENDAR IS ANNOYING ASF!!!! I WON'T USE IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T NOTIFY ME AND IT'S NOT RELIABLE! I AM SO ANNOYED THAT I CAN'T DISABLE IT OR REMOVE IT.
AMONG OTHER REASONS, I AM PURCHASING A NEW PHONE AND I WON'T EVER GET A SAMSUNG GALAXY AGAIN.. SMH 😔

You cannot disable the calendar. The disable button is grayed out.

Their latest update the calendar renders it annoying and useless so was hoping to disable it in favor of another calendar app and am disappointed to learn I can't. Their latest system update for the Note 20+ has other annoying features I'm not a fan of that you can't change either. I've always loved Samsung phones and most updates have been fine but this last one is not good.

So frustrating. I'm perfectly fine with Google aps that do everything I want. Why can't I get rid of the Samsung calendar?

Do not be frustrated. The iPhone includes their native apps as well. Most phone manufactures include their own apps. Apple includes their Calendar, Mail, Reminder, and the like, as default apps; those cannot be deleted nor changed from being default.
On your Samsung if you want using Google Apps only, very nice products, then move the Samsung apps in a folder putting that folder to a screen you will not return to. Also, make sure Samsung Calendar is not connected to any other calendar such as Google's; many folks have it connected to their Google calendar. They use the Samsung Calendar sycing to Google's calendar and visa versa as well.
Check the Calendar app; Settings > Apps, look for Calendar and click it. At the bottom is a Force stop, click it, however when you restart it may turn on. At the top of that screen click Calendar Settings, turn everything off you do not want using.
Samsung Calendar is an excellent product with nice features, my one gripe is not having a web interface, thus I use both Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar. Users are not required to use Samsung apps, same as users are not required to use Apple apps installed on Apple hardware. Both companies add them as a convenience for users.

Here's the difference. Samsung apps will make themselves the default after EVERY TIME THEY UPDATE. That's frustrating as fkk, and pathetic of Samsung to do it that way. Apple doesn't do it that way. I guess their developers are less insecure.

"...pathetic of Samsung to do it that way. Apple doesn't do it that way. I guess their developers are less insecure..." Apple will not allow changing their default app to another app as the default. So, who is less insure? For me when I changed the Samsung default app to the app I desire being the default, after updates it remained the default it did not change.

If that doesn't get changed, my S20 FE will be the first _and_ last Samsung phone. I bought it because of the favourable hardware reviews and no complaints about the software -- I always used Android One phones before and I miss that clean and unbloated experience!!!

Hi benjimar, The Samsung Calendar app size is 43.23 MB only. On your S20 FE go to settings > Apps > Calendar, in the lower right click Force Stop. Return to the main screen where you see the calendar app, move it to another screen out of sight. Because you do not like an app it would not be a logical reason giving up on Samsung’s excellent phones. On your next phone you will also find similar apps causing you the same frustrations. Example, the iPhone will not allow changing default apps nor remove them. Users moved apps they did not like to a screen away from their preferred apps; out pf sight out of mind. As the old saying states “Do not cut your nose off to despite your face.”
