So, in the last few weeks, I've been unable to turn my Galaxy A9 (2018) off in order to charge.
The moisture error appears. Yet, if the phone is on it charges fine.
Any suggestions?

That's certainly a conundrum @crockettguy1

Usually that notification disappears after a few minutes if its a false one.

First please put the phone in Safe Mode which disables your downloaded app's but let's your stock app's keep working. If the issues stop then this highlights a downloaded app as the possible issue. Come out of Safe Mode and start deleting your most recent downloaded app's one at a time until it stops.

If it continues then a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I once had this problem with my Galaxy A5 2017, I wiped the port multiple times witha cotton bud and that seemed to make the notification go away. Hope this helps 😊
