Hi everyone, since the latest update I have had the notification moisture detected on my phone. Its not been near any water or moisture or dust whatsoever. It last a couple of hours and then the notification disappears however come the morning again the notification is back. I can't charge my phone through wireless cos the a54 doesn't have. Any other suggestions or can I take the latest update off. Thanks in advance.

Hi @lozee

Have you tried charging your phone with another Samsung charger? If so and the issue still happens, please clear the data of the 'USBSettings' app (or similar). To clear an app's data, please do the following:

From the home screen, swipe either up or down to access apps > Settings > Apps > Select the sort by icon next to 'Your apps' > Select the switch next to 'Show system apps' and select OK > Select the app you'd like to clear > Storage > Clear data.

Yes this has worked, my phone has been fine for the last 2 days after doing this although it's still really slow at charging.

I have the same issue ,  it's been a month my phone is not working properly,   I can't charge it bcs it says moisture detected (but my phone is completely dried and cleaned like it is new)  I have tried everything  every single day  but still even when it doesn't show it and I am charging it immediately after I remove the charger  the moisture detected notification  shows up again  and it  doesn't go away up to 24 hours  no matter what I do , I think this A54 series is just defective on some devices  and I really love A series but I won't buy anymore bcs of this. So,  thanks Samsung you just lost a  loyal member

I agreed. For me, it has been almost 9 months with the same issue. Kindly Samsung fix it, it must be a system error because when you turn it off then plug the usb cable, it works again. But after few hours the moisture detection appear agan. I am tired of it.

My phone is a Samsung A52S and I had the same problem with the "Moisture Detected" alert popping up when I connected the phone to the charger.
Its Most annoying and worrying since I felt I couldnt trust the phone when I was going on holiday.
I called Samsung support and they were most helpful and guided me through the following suggestions to fix the problem.

Firstly they told me to clear the USB cache. To do this I went to Settings/Apps. I clicked on the filter icon next to where it says "Your Apps" and toggled the "Show System Apps" located at the top and set it to on.
I then searched for "USBsettings" it was a bit tricky to find but it is there. Upon opening USBsettings select "Storage"you see the option to clear cache at the bottom, so I cleared the cache.
I then tried to connect the phone to the charger and got the sane Moisture Detected alert as before.

Next Samsung said to restart the phone in Safe Mode. This is done by starting the phone as normal using the side power button.
As soon as the Samsung Galaxy icon (in white text and black background) comes on, Press and hold down the "Volume Down" button (the 2nd button down from the top of the phone) and release the Power button.
I held down the Volume Down button until the Home Screen appeared.

At this point if the Safe mode has been successfully implemented you can see the words "Safe Mode" in the bottom left hand corner of the screen and the Apps icons are greyed out.
I was told to wait at least 30 minutes in Safe Mode before trying connecting to the charger again.
After 30 minutes, when I connected the phone to the charger, the error of "Moisture Detected" did not appear and I could charge the phone.
As charging now seems ok in Safe Mode, this implies that the fault is caused by an App.
However I was then told to leave the phone in Safe mode with the charger disconnected for another 90 minutes.
I then left Safe Mode and the phone started up as normal. I then plugged the charger back in and still havent received the Moisture detected alert. Everything now seems fine, even with the all the apps installed.

Been a Samsung fan/user eversince. Ive had the same issue started in early September. I've tried almost every sugggestions found online. Last thing I tried was to update it to UI 6.1. I didn't like this update and has been delaying because I've read a lot of issues and complaints from other users. Guess what, instead of dealing with just the annoying moisture detection warning that comes and goes, I also lost the super fast charging that other users had experience after updating to the latest UI. I'm sick and tired of this. Samsung has failed me twice. Green line issue with my phone last year, and now it hasn't been a year that I have had this new phone and it's having multiple software and hardware issues. Im switching to other brands. Samsung now has pathetic CS and products!

I suffered twice with these features - moisture detection in port feature.

Incurred costs twice in repairs. This satanic feature is so torturing that I will not buy Samsung again.

This is suicide feature, and I regret buying samsung a54
