Galaxy A53 5G update issues

Hey everyone I was wondering if I could get some help or insight on a problem im having with my A53 5G phone. This problem started after the most recent update but whenever im watching YouTube or scrolling through Instagram my phone will suddenly freeze and make a sort of crackling sound out of the speakers and sometimes pixels on my screen will glitch out in a strip, and then enter a reeboot cycle that sometimes lasts up to 15 mins. This has only started happening after the update. Is my phone cooked or should I wait for the next update to see if this issue is fixed? Galaxy A53 5G

Have you tried a full factory reset that's what I would do . Mine and my daughters a53's are fully up to date and have been fine

Hello @Carter B 

Before a factory reset can you try these troubleshooting steps >

  • Make sure your apps are updated. 
  • Try a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On. 
  • Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict. Alternatively long press the power off button and then long hold on Turn Off to get to Safe Mode. 
  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's } 
  • There is a diagnostic test tool found in your Samsung Members App.

I've had issues after the last update too. WiFi won't work and keeps rebooting. Tried all the fixes recommended, including clearing cache, factory reset, starting in safe mode etc. It's not an app issue but something to do with the new upgrade. I reported it to Samsung over 3 weeks ago but have had no proper response other than their technicians will look into it. Hope these suggestions given above work for you, but in honesty I think they have broke your phone. We are not alone with this problem. Lots more issues reported on this community page. Good luck.

I have 2 phones with the same issue. Tge update has broken the phones. What is Samsung doing?

Same issue, and now my software update is showing the One UI 5.1 update. 🙄

      I'm having the same exact problem with the same phone, and it's has all started after updating my phone at 27th Feb.
