Hi. I've had an a51 for about a week or so and generally speaking I'm very happy with it.
However, I have a real issue with the fingerprint scanner and have had to reset all 3 prints about 4 times already. Each time they seem to work fine for a few hours but then inexplicably I get constant "no match" messages when I try. Becoming very infuriating, particularly for banking apps and stuff like that. Has anyone else experienced anything like this or is there potentially an issue with my phone?
Any help or advice appreciated, thank you

you would have to keep your finger on there and save it after the fingerprint scanner should recognise you

sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear enough. All 3 fingerprints are saved, I've been through that process multiple times now. They do recognise but with a success rate of probably about 5%, no exaggeration. They seem to be fine initially after set up but then just stop being recognised shortly thereafter, for whatever reason

When you state 3 fingerprints do you mean you have used different fingers or saved the data for 1 print 3 times? The latter cures a lot of recognition problems.

3 separate fingerprints. Hadn't really considered the other option but it makes sense but I'll give it a go, thanks

I had the same problem. Went to CHAT for a fix - useless. Went to VIDEO SUPPORT; Zahin was great at diagnosing the problem but couldn't fix it so suggested TECH SUPPORT. Called Azy (0333000333) who got me to remove all old prints and reregister but WITHOUT THE SCREEN COVER. All works fine but only without cover - so now I've got that problem to solve.

BTW I also (just) tried FACE unlock - registered without glasses (which I wear very occasionally) - works FINE & FAST - and even with my (slim prescription) glasses on. Not sure how secure it is and what effect it will have on battery consumption but I'm sticking with this until I can find a fingerprint friendly 360degree protector.
