Galaxy A14 - my sound picker isn't working

My sound picker isn't working, so I can't change any ringtone ot notifications sounds. I've been on line and tried what it said still doesn't work. It's really getting on my nerves now. Can anyone help plz

Can you clarify what you have performed in the way of troubleshooting steps you've seen online. 🤔 

i.e 

Maybe try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. { Repair Apps may not be availableto the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Series of phone's. }

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

Hi thanks for reply. I've tried what you suggested and still not working. If I press to change ringtone the screen goes off then goes straight bk to samething. I don't get the list of ringtones come up and when it says report that doesn't come up either. I hope u can understand what I mean lol so hard totry and explain

Mine also stopped working since the latest update on think

This happened me a few months after a system update. Tried everything they recommended and nothing works. My notifications alert is stuck on the galaxy bells. I was able to change most apps individually but get random ringing with no visible notifications. They advised the latest update would fix it, it didn't.

There is a work around but only for ringtones. I can't quite remember but if you download a ringtone, then go to your music, you should be able to set as ringtone. Someone here might know more.
