If anyone else has a galaxy a14 or have had the same issues can I get some advice? The only way I can explain it is randomly my phone will just stop working completely, I have no way to unlock it, restart it or turn it off because it doesn't register my fingerprint or tells me the pattern is incorrect when I know 100% it isn't. My partner reckons it might be a software issue since the phone is newly released however I just wanted to see if anyone else has had similar issues. Thanks!

Update: I sent that phone back and got a new one the issue was resolved however I don't know if this is to do with that I've dropped it a few times, but sometimes this phone won't register I'm typing, but other than that, the whole unlocking isn't an issue

When I hold volume down and power the phone restarts and then the pin is recognised again , better than a hard reset to fsctory settings

Got an answer  in reply  to my error report , they say it is the source code of the Netflix app 😏 with my phone I know  the problem starts after using or trying to use several streamings apps , with netflix at first my phone just shut down and restarted.  Now I get an error code on the app en within a half hour later the phone doesn't recognize my pin , I said all of this in the report , and then to get this answer 🙄

I have just posted the same thing! My phone won't recognise my password or fingerprint to unlock. And netflix shows error message or crashes and restarts

I had this issue with remote unlock, make sure your data is switched on. This worked for me

After 3/4 days without any problem, today it happen again. Suddenly I cannot unlock the phone with the unlock pattern (I'm 100% sure it is correct)

The only solution is to soft reset the device. After that, it will work again.

It's a new phone, I'm wondering to send it back to amazon

I upgraded from my A10 to the A14 last week. Unfortunately the new A14 has, on 2 occasions,  locked up like the others described here. It would not accept my pin number to access the phone. Eventually I found the by pushing and holding the on button and volume down for about 20 seconds, this would cause the phone to restart, at which point the PIN works normally.  Clearly, this is a common fault. I have reverted back to using my reliable A10, and the A14 will go back to the shop today.  I'm disappointed because in most respects,  the A14 is a big improvement on the A10.

Hi bought a14 for my son exact same issue would not recognise fingerprint or pin...tried hard reset then used Google account to let me back in...issue seems to be software related as occurs when a fingerprint is registered...returned the phone as it became a issue..

Shop said they had a few returns with the same issue.

Updated android today, still no working streaming apps, on one app the error code says  your android  video player  causes problems  , tried all my streaming apps , none of them working . But al least after trying them I can still get back in the phone now without a soft reset .
