FACIAL RECOGNITION WON'T OPEN APPS

Hi everyone,

Although I've enabled the 'facial recognition' feature, all of the apps that require security features to open, won't work with that. Other than unlocking my a55 through face recognition , I have to open each and every app via fingerprinting (Samsung Pass will automatically give me this option).  Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or /and what the steps are to resolve this?
I'm new to Android as I very recently switched to it from iPhone. Thanks in advance.

Those apps probably require a security level that face unlock on your phone doesn't have.

Face unlock won't be as secure as finger prints on your phone
So for any security. It well be fingerprint sensor.
IPhones don't have anything else so have developed a particular type of facial recognition that can be certified.
Downside of course is a big notch or dynamic island as they call it

I have a Samsung Galaxy A55.  I've not yet used the face recognition biometric but I have set up the fingerprint biometrics and it works well with the apps.  Particularly with my banking app (Santander).

However I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy A9+ tablet which only has face recognition biometrics and this is set up to unlock the device.   I CANNOT get the face recognition biometrics to work with my banking app.

However I have just spent the best part of 5 hours or more (with the help of various technical experts from my bank and from the retailer (Currys) technical support to enable this.  The technical experts inform me that the face recognition should work.  No amount of trouble shooting resolved the issue.  Samsung were also unable to help when I enquired yesterday.  I have just received a phone call back from Samsung technical support  (good of Samsung to phone back) to advise me that the Galaxy A9+ biometrics does not work with any apps nor will it do so in the future.  How crazy and daft is that to buy a brand new tablet and the biometrics cannot be used /is unsupported by Samsung.    Come on Samsung you can do better!!!!
