Dark mode not working

Despite turning on dark mode in the display settings and also "Force dark mode" in developers option, my A55 still opens most of my apps with a white background. This I didn't experience in my previous phone (Redmi).

Sounds cliche but have you tried restarting your phone

Yes.
Had to soft reset my phone too, but that didn't work too.

Many apps these days offer more choice, so instead of everything being in dark mode, you select by app.

Have you tried this?

That's not available on the A55 to the best of my knowledge.

It is on the apps, not the device itself.

Go to an app that you want in dark mode that currently isn't, go to settings and see if there is an option to turn it on within the app.

Not all apps work with dark mode.

I have tried it. Not available.
I understand this as I did it in my previous phone. Some apps don't that in the settings. Turning on "Force dark mode" in developers option is supposed to take care of that. But that hasn't been the case.

My issue is similar. On my A32 4G running Android 13, forcing dark mode works only till reboot. Any fix?

I have an A54 5G and just now, suddenly dark mode is not working for Brave or my Clock. 

I've turned off and on my phone.  I've turned on and off dark mode and it doesn't work.

Any ideas?
