Hello all. We have two Samsung A202F's, which recently received an update to version A202FXXU3CUJ2.
The two phones received this update with a week in between.
For both phones: after the update was applied, we're having WiFi connection issues.

Wifi drops out randomly with an explamation mark for 'no internet' whilst this is surely present. Disabling/re-enabling WiFi clears it for a few minutes, until it happens again, and again, and again, etc. So far, it seems that if we disable mobile internet, the Wifi seems to remain stable.
Before this update, there was no issue.
We've reset network settings, cleared the wifi connections and re-established them, and even cleared the phone's android cache, all without succes. The problem remains.

Anyone else experiencing this?

For Samsung members, here's the replies to your standard questions:

1. It is up to date
2. We did. Its not the access point, but happens with every access point.
3. Wifi calling was on, we tried if disabling it helps, but no change.
5. We did, see my first text above.
6-7. there is no third-party app that caused this.
8. It was surely the phone update that caused this. Consequently for BOTH phones. We will surely not reset, as that takes a huge amount of time to re-install to normal. And it is a matter of time before we receive the update again, on which we are back to square one.

Hello,

Since its 'Clearly' a software issue according to you there are only 2 options.

1. Send a error report with the Samsung Members app.

2. Send it in for repair > https://bit.ly/2jwV3SJ

Im happy you're collecting response credits, but how does the above answer my question 'has anyone else experienced this'?

I have the same issue. Is this issue already filed at Samsung? I try to file it anyway.

Hi there, good afternoon.

Thank you for reaching out, Have also filled in an error report in our Samsung Members-app?

Do you also experience this when your phone is started in the Safe Mode?

Keep us posted!

Kind regards,

Martijn

Yes, even in Safe Mode the issue still exists.

Have you also reached out to the support desk of your internet provider? When a reset of your router doesn't resolve this and the issue is also available in the Safe Mode a repair will be the next step. On our website you can register your phone for a repair: Samsung Reparatie | Samsung Nederland

Kind regards,

Martijn

Why should this be an issue with router or internet provider? None of my other devices (including other Samsung devices) has any issue on Wi-Fi connectivity. Sending out my phone of repair takes to much time and I don’t have a second phone available on short term. My workaround is if it happens to turn Wi-Fi off and on and then in connects until the phone is inactive (with the screen off) for some time. While it is active (updating or anything), there is no issue with Wi-Fi connection.

I just discovered that the issue is less occurring when the phone is on charger. Hopefully this helps in investigation (if someone is still investigating).
