I'm looking for ways of backing up my Galaxy A32 5G locally to a PC (running Linux). I don't want to use the cloud. Alternatively, I could back it up to a NAS drive connected to my Wifi router that I have access to.
SmartSwitch only offers me the option of backing up to an SD card, and the "Backup" option in settings only offers Samsung cloud or Google Drive. There is no option to backup to a connected device.
If I connect to my Linux PC via usb, the PC can mount the phone but can't see the files).
How do I backup my data locally to where I choose to back it up to, rather than being forced to use either Samsung or Google's clouds?
I've tried the Samsung 24/7 chat, but they merely confirmed that SmartSwitch doesn't work with Linux.
All advice gratefully received.
