Hi @Anonymous User , Have the photos disappeared from your device entirely or are  available at all in My Files as well as Google photos? Do you have syncronisation with One Drive set up? Are you photos  backed up anywhere else. I would recommend backing up photos and files, cannot really take the chance. ideally should have a few back ups and option to have local back up as well as cloud services.

I think that they are in Google picture's but all over the place I will try an sort through picture's I want and delete the ones I don't then maybe start again thanks for your help

Thanks means alot this fone has got too sets of file's plus Google pictures also gallery one drive is rubbish really that's why I got a sd memory card so instead of filling up the internal storage I put all my albums on that but not sure why some of them disappeared chat bot mentioned to clear data and cashe also restart fone
