simple, oneui 7(pre june 2025 mid month update(edited as I was a tad silly in saying what specific update was unacceptable in my book)) was perfect, easy, and JUST WORKED, you can add SECURITY patches, but FIRE people whoever even SUGGESTS FORCING users to alter themes and functionality, MARKETING IS FULL OF ***** THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT REAL PEOPLE WNAT EVER DO NOT EVER LISTEN TO THEM FOR ANY REASON
I need a reversion of ALL but the SECURITY patches to oneui 6, if any user has a SIMPLE theme that will undo this literal eye and navigation pain(ie NOT factory resetting or flashing the nand) I will literally give you money for finding it
edit t+6:00: turns out you can't even reflash the pre-update bundle, I tried downgrading JUST the launcher(the aspect I LOATHE about this update) but for some reason a MODULAR approach is setup to DISABLE any possible workaround for app versioning, even hacking the launcher app version code to make 16.0.5.50 look newer than version 16.0.5.55(the one that needs to be deleted from existence as it revamps things that out never have been edited) it STILL somehow knows it is an older copy, which SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE
a LAUNCHER should not be version locked EVER, no efuse bullshit, if we like the older UI we should be allowed to simply install the old UI and keep it just as it is with the security updates
maybe I am a noob but I think I did what any rational person would consider, more so as I even attempted to delete the launcher and install the old one to bypass downgrade restrictions over ADB(which honestly should NEVER have been a thing, if someone uses an old security exploit using ADB to install it you have WAY bigger issues than being hacked, as someone actively grabbed your phone to hack it, meaning they are already closely surveilling you anyway, meaning the ADB downgrade blocking in andriod 14+ is literally not effective for security)
I really wish companies would stop WRONGLY thinking that changing the UI, an aspect that has LITERALLY NO EFFECT, on security or functionality, is at all anything but a consumer angering device that will have them ditch that company for another or even the dreaded(oh no) free open source stuff
if they stopped editing the UI without consent we would act like the paying sheep they seem to want, rather than the pissed off wolves who will just go hunt elsewhere when you mess with us enough(by changing what we love into something that frankly sucks)
unless companies want us so angry at them they loose sales and rep....

@TrumpoBungus: The default interface requires you to swipe down from the top left of the screen to access your Notifications, and the top right to access the Quick Panel. To revert to the interface found in previous Android versions, open the Quick Panel > Tap the pencil symbol in the top right > Panel settings (top left) > Together.

it MUST be EXACTLY the same, and not by charging me money to UNDO your FREE but FORCED updates, don't bother making replies like these they are NEVER helpful

agreed, EVERY phone that EVER ran android has started with notifications on fist downswipe, THEN settings THEN extra settings, this is a design that literally CANNOT change or it disrupts understanding of how ALL phones work, TERRIBLE choice

aaaand NO, that should be a FULLY OPTIONAL setting NOT the DEFAULT and UNCHANGABLE android behavior EVER ever on ANY device EVER made now or EVER in the future

It IS the same if you choose together 🙄, of course with new OneUI 7 features 🙄. It's free.
Good Lock is total free, too 🙄

nope it ISN'T
when I swipe down ALL the behavior changed, rather than the DECADES long ANDRIOD EXPECTED notifications->quick settings-> full settings doesn't work as intended anymore, DOWN not DIAGONAL
instead it pulls up the bloated(with things that should not exist like the music player when no music is playing) and resized "full settings" (the icons don't need to be that big, default andriod outside of custon accesibility settings was fine) which I then have to swipe up to dismiss and then pulldown AGAIN to get notifications, this has NEVER been an android design, I want oneui 7 to cease to exist in its current design WITHOUT paying money to have DEFAULT ANDRIOD behavior, WHY THE ***** can't I have NORMAL ANDRIOD? sure if YOU LIKE the Samsung tweaks make it optional, BUT I HATE IT AND SO DO MANY USERS
and I am ignoring PAID themes as a "solution" as I was not given the option to keep the EXISTING UI for FREE when I updated, I wasn't even told the theme would change, which should have made this update actually illegal, as it was not "as advertized" because I was not informed and did not consent to a new theme and design layout, ONLY security patches
