A71 Screen Brightness Weirdness

I just got the A71 and for some reason while I'm using it the screen brightness and dimness keeps looping at random points, going from dim to bright back to dim, etc. It isn't adjusting changes in sunlight or anything, it seems more like it is a setting to alert you to a notification (although there aren't any notifications at the time its happening).

Is there a setting that is causing this? Or is it a bug?

Hi and thanks, I like having auto brightness on but just don't like it randomly completely dimming every few seconds for no reason

that's the thing, auto brightness as from android 9 will automatically change due to the climate you are in, to prevent this, disable it
