Once a text is sent the network you use won't keep it on their servers or keep a transcript of said text @Robynsue
Some networks don't send delivery reports for texts and some phone's also need this turning On.
Do you create back ups to your Samsung Cloud or any other back up option ?
If not and the text / delivery report has been deleted then it's most probably lost.
