A55 No WhatsApp message on Lock Screen

I have the A55 which I like but I can no longer read WhatsApp messages on the Lock Screen, I have to go into the app. I’ve tried everything online but it’s saying “Popup notifications aren’t available on Android versions 10 and above”.

Does anyone know a way round this, it’s making me reluctant to keep the phone.

I’ve tried that but there isn’t the option to hide or show notifications

I think I have a solution. Its a setting in WhatsApp itself called 'App lock'. In WhatsApp go to settings-privacy, scroll down to 'App lock' (3 from bottom) and there should be a toggle option to 'show content in notifications'. Turn it on. Hope it works
