A54 5G Called emergency several times while in pocket, please respond, Samsung

Hi,

Several times my phone called 911 while in my pocket.

I even got a call back from 911 asking I was o.k.

How embarrassing! 

Samsung: Can you please look into this and reply with suggestions?

Can you try
Settings>Display>Accidental touch protection. Toggle this on.

This setting has been on and does not prevent.

The design of the interface is such that with random touches emergency can be called:

-Double tapping screen turns on the screen when off (this happens easily in a pocket)

-A swipe up (also happens easily while moving in pocket) now exposes the phone keyboard with the emergency quickdial at the bottom. A random touch on that calls emergency.

I just found out that in Settings->Advanced options, you can switch off 'Double tap to turn screen on'. That I think should do it as the side button requires deliberate force to switch the screen on.

I was experiencing the same problem as you described and believe i found the solution.

My phone was opening up the call app in my pocket and emergency dialing. The answer for me was to remove the call and also the camera app shortcuts in the lock screen. Problem solved

go to settings --> Lock screen and AOD -->  scroll down and find "edit lock screen"

You will see a 2 shortcuts one on the left and right. Tap the shortcuts and click 'No app"
I would do it for the phone and camera app as i was also having random black pocket pics show up on my phone but thats up to you.
