Hi been getting this message more frequently of late. Its happened couple of times when caught out in rain but cleared when dry.
As far as I am aware no moisture or water ( other than ambient humidity) and I have blown port with hair drier on cold and can't see debri in there. ( retired electronics engineer)
Sometimes switching off and restarting will clear it and allows charging but often comes back on.( I'm on holiday so even tried silica pouch in waterproof case).
Google has lots of ideas so I cleared usb cache which on restart cleared it.

I used in phone diagnostics for sensors but there is no moisture sensor shown.
Handset is under Vodafone warranty but this mentions " port damage not covered"
Anyone know if there is an actual sensor or what the full fix gor this is. Local repair shop can replace port but loathe to pay if covered by warranty ( sensor fault?) Or it won't fix it?

There is a diagnostic tool in your Samsung Members App if you haven't fully run that yet @charlieIrons

As Vodafone are the merchant it's them that apply the 2 year Manufacturing Warranty so as such have a duty of care to help.

List it as possible port damage and add the moisture warning info.

Even Samsung will want to help if necessary via their service centres.

There are previous posts on this subject so it maybe beneficial to conduct a forum search too.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
