I have had two new A53 5G phones from Samsung and both have the same issues (one replacing the other for this issue). The SD card unmounts it's self intermittently (within hours or a few days) and you need to reboot the phone for it to remount. There are no error messaged, so the only way you know is if you cannot see your photo's or files. I have tried three Samsung SD cards two are 128 GB and one is 64GB. I tried low level format in the PC and then reformat in the phone with no difference. This looks like a firmware issue. Has anyone else had this issue?
Samsung - I really like the phone. Great screen, camera take good pictures and the phone is fast. I would like to keep it, however I cannot live with this issue permanently.

I have also experienced this issue. I tried the unmounting and remounting, that did not work. I have even tried formatting the sd card this also has not worked. I picked this phone because it has this feature (I was pretty annoyed they removed it from the flag ship phones and moved from them as a result).
This issue happens after I take a photo it seems. So I have now ordered a non Samsung SD card, if the problem persists then it may be the thing that turns me away from Samsung for good!!!

I had this issue with my S9 all the time with a sandisk card. Now I bought another brand card and it started doing this again this morning with my new A53.
Samsung needs to fix this issue with their phones. Having the ability to have external storage is the reason I don't have an iPhone. But if this is always going to be an issue on all their phones since the S8 then what's the point???
