The phone was perfectly fine 15-30 Minutes beforehand, I was going around in Costco with this phone and another phone in my pocket but the A52 5G's screen no longer works. The phone hasn't been dropped or anything like that, no water damage etc. The screen just randomly stopped working, the phone is responsive when plugged in and started to work at some point yesterday but then it froze and stopped working again. The phone backs up daily to Samsung cloud but as far as I know it doesn't get the files which are the most important thing for me. What should I do to solve this? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue now on my side as well. Phone suddenly stopped working and display stayed black. As the phone is more than 3 years old, I will not send it to repair.

Smart Switch did not work to backup any data, but luckily my Backups worked automatically before (highly recommended to have something like that!!!!!).

The phone is still working, as it is connecting to my wifi, bluetooth and for some apps. I now opened it and it seems like the connector for the display broke down. Broken part on the left. Loose part markedBroken part on the left. Loose part markedbroken part still on the FPCbroken part still on the FPC

Oh wow, when I had sent it to Samsung for repair last year they had changed basically the entire phone for a new one, which did seem kind of odd but wasn't much of a problem due to it being covered by the warranty. I'd love to know about your backups, are they just automatic with Smart Switch or is it your own backup solution if so, what do you use? I've been planning on creating something like that for myself too.

I think mine has done the same thing, I got it from my sister, who had dropped it, but it seemed alright until you put it down with a little force, but came back. And tonight I was a little annoyed and placed it down fairly hard, now the screens not doing anything. It vibrates when plugged in, and when soft-reset. So, I'm wondering if it's a common problem with it.

Same here, was working fine while in my hands and suddenly stop being responsive. Multiple soft reset later, the screen only works partially.   Phone is 3 years old. Programmed obsolescence?

From my experience, it was due to the motherboard being slightly bent if I remember correctly. When repairing the device they had simply replaced the whole motherboard of the phone. It could be the same situation for you unfortunately.

Seriously this seems to be a problem that occurs often. I had this a year ago and was able to give it up for repair since it was still until guarantee. Now this happend again and I again lost all my pictures and notes. I have no idea what's causing this. In both times I was watching a video, not putting it down or anything. I'd just advise you to secure everything with cloud etc. bc this issue could be happening anytime. Since its not an S model you can't even connect it to another screen or anything to atleast save the data. I wish there was a better solution because in both times it seems like everything else is fine inside, audio and vibration both still would work.

Oh, I'm sorry that it's happened again to you. Yeah, this seems to be a flaw in their design with the original A52 5G, there may be a weak point in their devices.
