Since I updated my A50 i have started having issues with having no audio at all from the phone. This happens in all apps, no alarms, notifications and ring tones not working and unable to here people during phone calls. All videos playing on fast forward on all apps (WhatsApp, you tube and Google photos) and general performance issues with phone crashing several times in particular the camera. Have done a Google search and found many threads relating to the exact problems I have after people have updated there phones. I have also carried out a factory reset and this has not resolved the issue. Have restarted the phone 10 times now and fault persists. Have also started in safe mode and no luck. Is there a fix for this?

I have the same problem from I updated aswell. I'm highly doubtful this is water damage.

No sound, videos in fast forward. Every app is crashing at some point, wich then makes my phone go off and be stuck on the black screen that says Samsung.

As I said in a previous post I sent my to Samsung for repair and they replaced the main board so mine was a hardware issue

Got the same problems, sent it in for repair, came back a week later. No problems for 3 days, then same issue happened again. Since June update the speakers always work after a restart, but they pretty quickly stop again. At that point the Samsung members app throws a "function not available" when trying to test speakers in the get help menu.

Apps hang often, I'd guess when they try to access sound. Random restarts. Receiver sound not reliable either, so useless as a phone.

Because sound is not completely dead, I don't want to send it in and be told there is no problem...

Same here, had no issues with A50 until Android 10 was installed. Since then all you describe as well. Reboots and cach wipes don't work anymore. Dramatic. Can't even test the speakers. Falls off every time again, practically useless now as you cannot ring with the phone anymore.

Samsung, what is your solution for this? Or give people the opportunity to retun to the version before Android 10 and fix the bugs. Also the June update did not improve it.

Pretty much the same issue as the OP.

https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-A-Series/A50-Audio-issue-headphone-jack-issue/td-p/165649...

Maybe 1 reboot in 30 reboots might fix the issue but that only last for few hours.

I'm going to ask for a refund

I sent my phone away to be "repaired" took 2 weeks, I got it back on Friday morning, turned it on and worked fine, went to put my SIM and SD cards back in and the card tray was missing, also after an hour the phone was the same as it was before I sent it. So not only is it still broke and can't be used, evin if they did fix it it couldn't be used as a phone anyway as they haven't put the SIM tray back in.

I think it is a system crash ... my phone's sound restored automatically....I did not know how ... then one day it again the same audio problem occurred...I had read about fixing system crash the day before and gave it a try by SWITCHING OFF THE PHONE AND THEN PRESSING THE VOLUME DOWN BUTTON AND POWER KEY TOGETHER... fortunately the audio was restored again ... my phone is working fine ... but I do feel that there is a problem with system software....

I have the exact same problem so here's what happened:

After I updated my A50 the problem started.

Then I sent it to Samsung's Service Centre and the problem had seem to fix since they replaced some of my phone's insides.

Soon after that about 2 weeks later the problem came back.

I went back to the Service Centre and got it replced AGAIN.

AND NOW I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I AM TIRED SAMSUNG SHOULD GIVE US A REFUND!!!

Apparently my brother also has the A50 and he hasn't experinced this problem.

Maybe certain phones are defects and maybe we're just "Unlucky".
