The new update is so bad I'm going back to Sony. I'm disabled and have a hard enough time with the simplest of tasks. So when the new update has made my battery drain quicker, general performance slower and moved everything around so I need to learn to use the phone again

Battery is down to general phone usage etc not an update and also how much you have downloaded on the phone that takes up background power etc 🙄

Everyone has their own take on one UI 7, it's like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. One UI 7 is very customisable and with a few tweaks you can have it near enough of how you liked it before, the thing is, every company will be looking to have a fresh look, especially with Google rolling out new UI's, which almost seems like every month. Sony will be know different, nor will a lot of other phone companies, even 🍏 is trying to change it's looking and have recently adopted an android feature 🤫, technology is moving so fast these days, it's hard to keep up.
Samsung isn't going with the flow, it's leading the flow, one UI 7 is just an infant, the feedback and whatever else is collected will be the final look, and by time you're used to it, it'll have another look, phones will suddenly take on the credit card size again which project a working hologram full of everything 👀
Please just take time and get to re-know your phone, read the tips and tricks, look at YouTube videos of the like of Samobile or Sakitech, they are loads explaining about one UI 7 and how to customise the look to make it feel near enough the way one UI 6.?? was, there are even clips on one UI 8, which do show Samsung is listening to feedback, but the main thing to overstand is that the changes you want might not be until one UI 8.??
And for this to be your first ever post, really isn't the greatest sign that you've been a life long Samsung fan, OR actually be human, or just someone which wants to bad mouth Samsung whilst being an 🍏 user
Which ever you are, you should of leaded with a question instead of trying to guess what **** meant 🤭
Good luck on your journey (or if a bot) next update 🫣

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

Hope to clear this up a little—most changes are due to Android 15—aka Google—aka all Android devices, meaning said changes will apply to Sony phones, too. The battery issue has since been sorted on Android 16, from what I've noticed from personal experience on the beta—though I was barely affected in the first place.

Maybe if you posted about specifics, people can provide ideas/tips?

Not true One UI 7 is draining the battery faster than before. Samsung have already admitted this.

Wipe you cache like everyone has advised, look at YouTube tutorials on how to do it, Sakitech has a good one out. Wipe the cache and follow instructions, if it's worked for 100s others, I'm sure it'll work for you

Have fun with your Sony device. Samsung isn't for everyone so no hard feelings.

Sometimes I question whether these posts are genuine and from genuine users or a small number of users creating multiple user names just because they think if they post a lot they'll get their own way?

It's a well known fact updates often make battery life worse as the update won't be perfectly made for that phone, don't lie
