Hi,
Since I've updated my phone I've been having problems with my microphone. When I make calls the person on the other end can't hear me. Same issue with video recordings- no sound being recorded. If I reset my phone or restart it 3-5 times the microphone returns to working order for about 2-3 phone calls but then stops again. I've factory reset my phone twice and then when I brought it back to the Vodafone shop I bought it was told to update it again. Which I did. This hasn't helped and I don't know what to do next! HELP!

My issue is similar. My microphone does not work on voice calls. I can get it to work with other applications. It is only on the voice calls it will not work. I have reset my phone multiple times and Samsung support asked me to hard reboot my phone (power/Volume up button) to clear my cache. if this does not work, I do not know what else to do. Phone is only 30 days old. Started having issue 2 weeks ago. I have a feeling this started with a recent update but can't prove it.

I performed your test. The first one does not work or playback. The second one does. Please provide guidance on what this means

Since the microphone works with other applications, and not with Voice calls, it is very unusual, given the ruggedness of the hardware technologies.
Samsung recommendation should have solved. Microphone electronics is working and we could only isolate the issue to be software. Will think what else could be a reason and try to let you know

Hi it's in the store as it was repaired but store closed now due to COVID19. Anyway I can have my phone back it's been weeks?

Mine was just dirty. Now it works perfectly
