A42 touchscreen not working

My husband's A42 turned itself off on Saturday. We thought it had maybe overheated. Left it alone until today. It charged fine but the touchscreen does not respond at all. I've tried resetting. Got it to safe mode but with only the side button and volume buttons to use I don't know what else to try. Thankyou

Also when I've tried rebooting it has an error of setup wizard failed!?!

Hi @kamate76. Is there any damage to the phone at all?

Nothing. My husband took it out if his pocket to read a message that he'd just received and it turned off.

Is the phone in a case or a cover?

Yes it was in a shock case. Its not now. Thankyou
