Hello all. I recently purchased an A35 5G. I'm having some difficulty seeing notifications.
I previously had an S9, and this would flash either green or blue to let me know I had received a text or message or WhatsApp or missed call etc. This doesn't seem to be an option on the A35. In the settings, there is an option to have the (rear) camera light flash once, but this function is useless. There's also an option to have the screen flash once (also useless). I need to have my phone on silent throughout the day due to my employment, so I reply on visible notifications (ie flashing lights) to let me know I have received a message or missed call etc.
Any fellow members aware of a workaround on this?
Many thanks.

There hasn't been an option like the s9 since the s9 unfortunately I miss the flashing light two...only way to know if you have a notification is to have always on display on but only comes on when you receive a notification....that's what I do these days unfortunately

@Craigmc: Further to the above advice from @TimmyD23, please head to Settings > Lock screen and AOD > Always On Display > On > When to show > For new notifications. This will turn on the AOD when you receive a notification, and should hopefully serve a similar purpose to the LED notifications of earlier Galaxy models.

Hi, Andrew. Thanks for the instructions.
I don't seem to have "when to show'...

Thanks. I'll have to look into that option. I'm unfamiliar.

@Craigmc: Are you making sure to tap on the words 'Always On Display' via 'Lock screen and AOD' (not the on/off switch) in order to access the settings menu?

It was really unwise of Samsung to get rid of the flashlight light function.
The Always on Display isn't much help, but thanks for the suggestions
