On my old Samsung J5, I could delete some messages from a sender but leave others. Can I delete individual messages from my new Galaxy A14 5G? Only I can only delete the entire conversation!

In Samsung Messages you should have an option to delete all Messages in a conversation or particular ones.  Select the desired conversation, Menu (3 dots),  Delete Messages. Select either all  or the specific ones you wish to delete.    This does work on S Series but may need to long press  particular message on A series.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

To delete a message just long press the message you want to delete until it highlights, at which point options appear at the top of the screen, one of which is delete, which will allow you to delete the message. Hope this helps

@oldfogey: While using your Galaxy A14 5G, you'll find a few instances where a 'long press' will reveal additional options and settings. Think of it like a right-click of a mouse button while using a PC or Mac.

No, clicking on the 3 dots does not have the option to delete all or just specific ones. The only option is to delete the entire conversation = all messages to and from that contact.

Oh, thank you so much! It's not intuitive, is it? How would anyone know that you could do that?

If I'm honest I only found out by experimenting as it's the same procedure for messages in many other apps and many other devices. The No of times I have said "If I knew you could have done this or that it would have saved me lots of agro"

Long press in messages, don't actually go into conversation

Long press doesn't help. "Delete" is still greyed out.
