Google Pay Not Working Correctly

My wife and I both have Note 20 ultras 500gbs and have noticed that on my wife's phone Google Pay is not functioning any longer. The card details have been erased and a Google message saying that Google Pay does not support beta versions of android 12 comes up. Has anyone had similar experiences of using Google Pay since updating.

Hi Chippie thank you for this suggestion. There are two major banks in the UK Barclays and the National Westminster Bank, neither of these bank supports Samsung Pay so as my account is with one of these Banks Google Pay is my only option. So when you say no retailers take Samsung Pay try paying with this in local Sainsburys or their petrol stations. Check out Sainsburys methods of payments accepted before saying this is not true. As well as the banks that do accept this payment method.

In the UK, you can use Samsung Pay just the same as Google Pay. It makes no difference. Anywhere that accepts contactless payments will accept you dabbing your phone with Samsung Pay.

Hi ViperKing01 thanks for your response. I've tried to pay with Samsung Pay in Sainsburys main supermarket and petrol stations. Neither accept Samsung Pay. Sainsburys say they only accept Apple and Google Pay. So it's a no to Samsung Pay. Also some banks like Barclays and Nat West do do accept Samsung Pay. I've tried using Samsung Pay and nobody in my area wants to know. Not a problem with Google Pay when it's working. As Chippie pointed out not a problem if you use 3rd party software and app such as a Curve account.

My NatWest card is on samsung pay and I can use it anywhere that accepts contactless payments including sainsburys. I can't fathom why you would be any different.

Hi Ribenamoustache thanks for this. Nat West Bank does not support Samsung Pay this is achieved by by a third party app called Curve which sets up a Nat West card under another dummy number.So this is the get around and not as clean as Google Pay which take any payment directly from your Nat West account. Simply check out Nat Wests details on google and you will see its not involved with Samsung Pay yet.

Hi Ribenamoustache, you say can't fathom why you would be different. I'm not I just asked a simple question why Google Pay is not working in the beta version. Only to be told by a load of people to use Samsung Pay. The only way I can do this is by using third party software called Curve to run Samsung Pay as my bank does not support it. Sorry but I just want to use Google Pay which everyone accepts. What's wrong with that apart from the fact that the beta version has a problem with it.
