Well, I've today contacted Samsung in an attempt to actually leave the beta and am more than a little dismayed that there is no actual way to leave the beta once you're in it. Just wondering if anyone knows of a way at all that I've not thought of?.

But it seems like once you're in, you're in.

Not just Google Wallet, numerous financial apps are not working such as banking etc. So "Beta is working fine" is a bit of a stretch, fine for you, but if it was just for you, wouldn't be much of a beta test would it, they'd just ask you.
I think you need to actually read the thread, otherwise you look foolish and uninformed, at which point I don't know why you'd choose to even comment.
Which terms did you read?, mine included term 11 which states:
Give that advice a try, the advice that you're passing out and then come back to me and reply. It shouldn't take too long before you notice that you don't actually have a downgrade button and so cannot leave the beta.
Give it a spin, then please post back with your findings....I'll wait
