Not had any issue on beta, but when I've experienced it before has either been a reboot of phone or clear cache of AA on phone via Applications in Settings.

@Wobdot ,

Please try to clear cache of Android Auto app, go to: Settings > Apps > Android Auto > Storage > Clear Cache. Perhaps this will improve the situation. 

I also recommend you try to re-establish the connection. Remove the vehicle from the connected devices and then reconnect the phone to Android Auto.

I'm using wirelss AA and the volume when playing music was always quieter than when using Bluetooth, but since the update it's even worse. I almost have to have the volume at 3/4 full to have the same as 1/4 on Bluetooth. Other than that it seems to work fine.
