After forced os auto update, I no longer can transfer files via usb.
I have Note 20 Ultra. I successfully avoided system updates for a year, but the other day it just downloaded on its own and now Android File Transfer app doesn't connect - it gives error "Could not connect to device". I have Note 8 which has not been updated and it works no problem, so I know the cable is fine (I tried different one though, the same). I have USB transfer set as default and USB debugging on in developer options. I restarted my mac many times, same with phone, reinstalled AFT, no change. This happens on both of my Mac laptops, both on Ventura 13.6. UPDATE: I updated to Sonoma 14.0, still doesn't work - it must be something we newer Android OS?
Can someone help, as this drives me mad? I have no way of copying data fast, other than putting it on micro sd, which is a whole operation. I'm on Android 13, One UI 5.1.

I have the same issue. I can transfer files only on a PC using a USB C to C cable, which sucks because it means most of the computers I have to use won't interface with my phone.
