The "Scanning for drive information" warning started appearing a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes it would just flash on the screen, sometimes it would stay for a second or two, and sometimes it would not appear at all. A few days ago, it was there for 17 seconds. Today, it has been running for 15 minutes or more.
Is this an indication of drive failure?
A couple of years ago, I swapped my internal memory for a Samsung 970 EVO. About a year ago, I added a T7 4 TB external USB drive.
