Yea i forgot to include the source but if u look it up it will say it does. Anyways, like i said your scenario could be different. The 3.3v dramatically dropping to 3.05v when it should be above at least 3.125v at the very minimum is what was causing my drive to crash. Once i figured out my 24 pin extension cable was the culprit of the power loss, I just took it out and used the stock 24 pin ugly looking cable. But hey now the 3.3v rail doesn't drop below 3.2v under heavy gaming loads. So like i said keep running hwinfo, and if the game/drive crashes check your minimum 3vcc number and if its low 3.1v or lower then that may very well be the problem. If not then it can possibly be the drive itself. I would also make sure that your drive is it up to the latest firmware update, those can fix these issues sometimes if its not a driver or power related issue.

It was the 3.3v! I've changed the 24 pin cable put the drive back in and tested in the games that were causing it to crash and got no errors or crashes, holy ***** thank you my dude. The 3.3v doesn't drop below 3.296 now whereas before it was dropping to 3.16 which is in tolerance but obviously not enough. This was only a quick test, and I'll keep an eye on it. It's too late here to run through tests. Thank you so much for the help, kind stranger!

I have the same problem I brought 2 samsung 990 pro 2tb and 4tb. I use the 2tb as my boot drive, i test playing on it and there is no problem. But when i play in 4tb about 3-5 mins. The game crash. Then i open samsung magician to check it, the 4tb couldn't detect i also open the disk management to see if the drive still working. But the drive is disconnect. I don't know why. I already update my Bios but still the same. Can someone tell me how to fix this

I Have been having issues for the past month, not being able to play intensive games. When checking hwinfo64 3VCC was running at 3.064V. I had an extension cable (for the correct psu etc.) I removed the extension cable and it read 3.280V. And now my issue is gone!! (please don't be jynxed) Thank you so so much MEEPERS24!
