The monitor has a 'volume' setting in the menu so I assume it should be able to produce sound? However, when I connect it to my laptop with an HDMI cable I get no sound. I also had no sound when I used a Chromecast to cast from my iPad to the monitor. the only way I could hear sound was to insert some headphones into the applicable slot.
Am I doing something wrong or is this correct, meaning that the only way I can get sound is through headphones or if I connect some speakers?
