I have the ROG Zephyrus GX502GW - technical specs can be found here:
https://www.asus.com/uk/Laptops/ROG-Zephyrus-S-GX502/Tech-Specs/
Connecting the Samsung T5 portable SSD to the laptop does nothing and windows does not recognise a connection to the USB C port. I can use the SSD when it is connected to the USB A 3.1 port however.
As a way of troubleshooting, I connected my Google Pixel 2 phone (which has a USB C connection) and the device is recognised in windows 10.
How do I use the SSD with the USB C port?
Thanks

Same problem here with my Asus Zenbook UX501VW. It would be great for the community to have an answer here instead of getting rid of us with another redirected e-mail...

I have the new Xiaomi PRO 15.6" notebook and I have the same problem with a Samsung T5 SSD. It is not recognized with the type-C porty. But if I change to another type-C cable it works but not at full speed. I also checked the cable (the original) with my phone and works fine.
