Odyssey G7 4K 28" issues with PS5 & vrr

I just bought this monitor today and its stressing me out.

I've connected my ps5 to this monitor and enabled vrr and 120hz in the ps5 settings. I'm playing spiderman miles morales in fidelity mode (30fps mode) but I've enabled 120hz displayed mode (which should bump fps upto 40fps).

The monitor does not like this. Anytime 120hz mode is on, the screen goes black every few minutes, as if the hdmi connection has been lost.

The main reason I bought this monitor was for the hdmi 2.1 port. But it's not allowing me to enjoy 120hz mode. Even the fps counter keeps glitches in this mode. It keeps flashing between 85hz & 120hz. Even though it should be 40fps or less. How can I stop the flickering?

I found the solution. You need to update to the latest firmware. But you can't do this through the TV. For some reason, there's a newer version you you have to download from Samsung website online onto a usb. Then you connect that usb to the monitor and update it manually. That fixed my issue
