G9 OLED Flickering now and then

Morning

I got my G9 OLED last week and noticed quite often when i switch on my PC and get to the desktop I get flickering as shown in the video below

I have tried a different Display port cable and the one that came with it, also updated the firmware on monitor and running latest Nvidia drivers, I thought it might be something to do with running a 2nd monitor so unplugged that but still get the issue.

I had the first G9 before this and worked 100% fine nothing else was changed. Running an RTX 3090.

Should I be returning the monitor?

Yeah I thought it was but they were trying to say as its amd freesync then this could be the issue as I've had gsync on

Have you tried what they told me about the power drain and then factory reset? As they will ask you to do that when on the phone tomorrow.

I will that tomorrow, I doubt very much that will help but will give it a go and see what happens, how is yours now?

Sorry, just looked again and it is not gsync compatible.

Switched it in and off about 5 times this afternoon and ok at the mo (famous last words) but haven't used it as such for more than about 10mins at a time. Need to sit down and play a game for an hour or so.

Yeah give it a good hour or so gaming and see how it goes. Hopefully for you everything is sorted but tbh we should not be having these such problems with an expensive bit of kit.

No we shouldn't have any issues with the cost of these things. I've been troubleshooting all week instead of enjoying it.

Yeah same, I'm here at work racking my brains to think what could be up with it lol. Could be something so simple but i very much doubt it. I have even turned of Adaptive Sync on the OSD but i doubt that is the problem either. Its like the monitor does not like DP1.4 ?

How did you get on calling them today?

I have just gone to use mine this evening and the flicker is back.

I've now switched on Gsync and will try it like that. If I get the flicker again without Gsync it's going back.

Mine was running as it should. I plugged in a new hdmi 2.1 cable and all was good today. Will test it again tomorrow and see how it goes. If it does the black screen tomorrow I will be ringing them. I have till the 25th until my returns window closes.
