Hi all, hoping someone can help.

Ever since I got my Galaxy Book2 Pro laptop (i7, 16GB) I've used the fingerprint scanner to log in to Windows 11 (Windows Hello)

Now for some unknown reason, it is not working for login - the scanner still clearly works, but when I put my finger on it to login, it says "Your PIN is required to sign in".

I've tried adding more fingers in Windows settings, which works and reads the fingerprint OK, but I cannot log in using this method and have no idea how to fix it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Steps to Turn Off Fingerprint Login
  1. Open Settings: Click the Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen, then click the Settings icon (a gear symbol).

  2. Navigate to Accounts: In the Settings window, select the Accounts tab from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Sign-in options: In the right-hand panel, click on Sign-in options.

  4. Find Fingerprint Recognition: Scroll down and locate the Windows Hello Fingerprint option and click on it to expand the menu.

  5. Remove Fingerprints: Click the Remove button under the Windows Hello Fingerprint section to delete all your saved fingerprints.

After these steps, your fingerprint scanner will be disabled, and you will need to use a PIN or password to log in to your laptop.
