About a year and a half ago i got this samsung curved monitor for my pc. Recently the power button, also used as the menu button has stopped working. I can press to the sides to access the volume and brightness settings and all that, but i cannot turn off the monitor and access the menu screen. In short, pressing down on the button does not work. Please tell me if you have a solution because there are some settings that need changing that i cannot access. I believe this button is also referred to as a JOG button.

Apologies for the delayed response, but the arrows do not function at all, nor do attempts to turn the monitor on and off. Despite my attempts, the drivers that another user gave here didn't change anything.

I have the same issue with my 32" curved monitor C32JG5x, the JOG button does not do anything when pressed

This is a recurring problem with the Jog button. The switch gets stuck inside. the Volume input works as it is a movement function. I generally fix this by toggling the button to left and pressing it twice or thrice while it is in that position. It gets the button working. It will need some patience to carry out the same.

However, if the volume or brightness is not working then there might be a fault with the button. If it is in warranty, recommend to get in touch with Samsung support and get it fixed.

Thanks for the tip, I've tried to press the button 3 or more times when the JOG button is at one of the 4 directions.  After trying all the directions and pressing the button, the center button press is still not working.  I've also used WD-40 inside the JOG button while flipping the monitor upside down.  Nothing works.

my monitor is out of warranty and Samsung said it'll cost me to have a tech come out to fix this.  Looking for a solution myself to fix this for now.  Thanks.

Just had a JOG button problem for the 3rd or 4th time

on/off not working, down not working, only up and sideways and only menu was brightness/contrast and the rubbish eye-saver

Pulled the power cord (wall plug is too far away) and left it for a few minutes while I made a brew
Held in JOG button and pushed in the power cord solo-handed AND ( this is important) continued to hold in the JOG button whilst drinking tea for 20 secs

Hey presto; the JOG button now works

Otherwise excellent 34" display;  made irritatingly unreliable by bean counter who chose to save a few pence by introducing a temperamental single point of failure

Hi I have had the same issue and had decided to blow some air in the Jog button and it seemed to have done the trick I have a small electronic pump as my lens pump is @Work.  All my buttons where working exept the push in Jog but now everything works fine.

Same thing happened to me.  How I solved it was to unplug the monitor, put in screen side down, squirt a bit of electrical contact cleaner spray in the job button and then wiggled it around a little.  At first when switching on, the button acted a little weird, but as the cleaner dispersed, the button started working as normal.

I've had this monitor a few years now and have had to do it a couple of times.  Obviously a bit of a design issue as it seems to affect so many people.

Absolute legend, 10/10, fixed it for me. Maybe I had some dust between the contact
