Hi,
When Inuse Spotify connect to connect my IPhone to my Soundbar and subsequently adjust the volume on my IPhone, the volume suddenly jumps to an extremely high level on the Soundbar and indicates “Halfway” on the IPhone. Have to adjust al the way to it lowest setting on the phone to have a somewhat acceptable background level and subsequent volume adjustments can only be done very coarse. Any Idea how to fix this?

i am also having the same issues after receiving my Q90R yesterday and tinkering with it in the evening and woke the whole house up ops
but this is not a Samsung issue but a spotify connect issue see below link seems to be happening on all wifi speakers with spotify connect
shocking its not a Samsung fault tho

Hi guys,
Had the same issue but just updated the last Spotify version and it looks like the bug is fixed ! The soundbar connect on a low sound level and when I change it from my phone it's 1 by 1.
Anyone to confirm this issue is fixed?
EDIT: If you change the sound from your phone but you are NOT in Spotify the issue come back again...
It's still a nice improvement.

I guess the problem still exist.
@ Samsung
Any feedback?

Can you guys confirm that this has been fixed now? I haven't had any issues on my Android phone for some months time now, I can use the buttons to change the volume by 1, without any jumps in volume.
The Spotify Windows app is still pretty bad for volume control though. I use 8 on my HW-Q80R to listen to music, and I think that translates to 8% on the volume slider, so it's nearly impossible to adjust the volume slightly.

The incremental changes are still too big. Why does it have to be so loud when it’s only at a minimal level?
This would be resolved by simply letting us put a threshold on the max volume through f.e. Smartthings app

I can confirm it’s not fixed.

I found a temp solution by NOT using Wi-Fi, instead connect via Bluetooth. Do so by using the SmartThings app and changing the main connection from wifi to Bluetooth. This drove me nuts as and and I played around with it until it worked.

If you use bluetooth, you must stay within range with your phone… When I walk around in the house, doing chores streaming music to the soundbar I sometimes walk out of range
This is the biggest drawback of that solution imo

March 2024 and this annoying issue is still occurring on my S61A. If I adjust the volume using the soundbar‘s remote it‘s fine, but still: the volume exploding to an insane level has shocked me one time too many today (after ending a phone call!) so I am reverting to Bluetooth now except when it is time to check for a fix. Listening to music on one of three Hama devices in the household right now via Connect, noting the iPhone‘s volume buttons do not affect the volume at all. I am fairly sure they did before, so maybe Spotify is on an incremental way towards fixing this by themselves? Note: the iOS setting whether the volume buttons change the ringtone volume, which in my experience sometimes interferes, does not seem to affect this either way (on or off).

I can absolutely agree that it is still not working.
Samsung did nothing. The WiFi connect with Spotify isn‘t useable.
it looks like Samsung is not solving issues and has no interest. They are only selling new generations.
as well there is an issue that it is losing the HDMI signal from time to time. You have to unplug everything and connect again.
for sure I will never buy a Samsung soundbar again. Better to use Sonos. Perfect integration.
