Q990D soundbar not passing sound from eARC when listetning Spotify/Tidal/Chromecast for a longer period of time

Hi all,

I have a Q990D soundbar for a month now.

It's on the latest firmware, SAT-MT8532D24WWC-1011.2, subwoofer version is 36.

Whenever I listen to Spotify, Tidal or anything over Chromecast, when I turn ON the TV, the soundbar will select eARC as a source, but there is no sound.

I have to manually cycle through sources until I get back to eARC for it to start working again, and then it's not 100% sure.

Sometimes I have to turn OFF the TV and turn it back ON several times for eARC sound to start working.

Tried factory reset, didn't help.

Before Q990D i had Q990B and it didn't have these issues.

Hi, @9800pro , have you found the solution? 
I have this problem too and it's driving me crazy ! I'm close to ask for a refund and buy an older version...

Same here. Very frustrating. Wish there was a way to alert Samsung dev team

Hi @DylanDFW , I hope it'll get fixed for you soon...
On my side, one day, the problem has just stopped... Now it's working as it should, I have changed nothing.
Very weird
