Hi,
When Inuse Spotify connect to connect my IPhone to my Soundbar and subsequently adjust the volume on my IPhone, the volume suddenly jumps to an extremely high level on the Soundbar and indicates “Halfway” on the IPhone. Have to adjust al the way to it lowest setting on the phone to have a somewhat acceptable background level and subsequent volume adjustments can only be done very coarse. Any Idea how to fix this?

Get sending them a message on Twitter, Samsung told me the more complaints they get about an issue there more likely the technical team will look into it.

Finding E-mail page for tech support is rather difficult:
English (UK):
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/email-technical-question/
Dutch:
https://www.samsung.com/nl/support/email-technical-question/
I send them an E-mail, hope this helps.
Issue might not be Samsung specific, they can provide the means to make it less annoying.
If their customers turn deaf then they will for sure lose them in certain areas of their consumerproducts.

I have the same problem with my soundbar Q80R.
It is not really possible to change the volume via iPhone.
Using the SmartThings App it always jumps 5 volume steps up and down.
Using the spotify app you can change the volume step by step up. Pressing down it goes to 0! 😞
Using the lock screen on the iPhone it could happen, that it changes to volume 50 immediatelly.
@ SAMSUNG
Please change your software! It is a pretty good soundbar, but the volume management via software is horrible.

Please add an option maximum volume on the soundbar. Or regulate the volume 0-100 better. Because step 50 sounds like the maximum!

I have the same issue. Would be nice to get an update for this. All devices from different manufacturers that I own manage the volume without any issues.

Is Samsung watching this? I'm going to forward this topic again to one of their Facebook tech supports.
I'm tired of getting heart attacks, and I also can't let friends use Spotify in my house on their phone, because of the volume spikes.

I have written an e-mail to the German tech support as well. Hopefully this helps.

I got the same problem, almost blew the speakers since it jumped to 50 in a instance using my Gfs iPhone 6s. Get your act together Samsung. I got the Q96R soundbar btw

This problem is not just annoying, it can be dangerous as well.
Twice last week, it happened to me while streaming music and my toddler was nearby. It scared her so much that she’s afraid to even be in our living room now. I’m very concerned that it could cause damage to her ears too. This soundbar is incredibly loud at 50%, and smartphones‘ volume is often set higher than that.
Unless Samsung has a software fix for this, I just can’t risk using the soundbar for streaming music again - which is more than 50% of the times I need it for.
The fix for this doesn’t have to be too complex (something like the volume limit feature in the Apple Music app will do). So I hope they release a fix soon.
