Q90r soundbar Connection issues with LGTV

Hi. Hoping someone can help. I have recently purchased a Q90r soundbar. My TV is a LG 49UF695V-ZA.

The manual says to connect SkyQ box to Soundbar, then soundbar to TV. If I do this, I get sound but I can no longer get 4k content, 1080p being the best available. 

If I connect SkyQ to hdmi1 of TV, then soundbar via hdmi2 (arc to arc) I can get 4k picture but no sound. TV is set to external speaker (optical/hdmi).

TV and soundbar updated to run latest software.

Hi @Lgtv. Give these steps a try: Settings > General > External Device Manager > Input Signal plus -> On

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion but i don't have a "General" menu on this TV and nothing remotely like External Device Manager or Input Signal Plus anywhere
