Q600C Static Noise When Turned On

I have a HW-Q600C soundbar with my S90C tv. I bought them both about and year and a half ago and everything worked just fine. About two months ago I started experiencing issues with my soundbar when I turn the tv (and subsequently the soundbar) on. A loud static noise will emit occasionally and then return to normal as things are starting up. This problem occurs inconsistently. It usually only happens after the tv has been off for several hours. Once it happens it does not repeat itself if I turn the tv off and then back on. It may be not until the next day that this occurs. 

I have replaced the eArc cable and that seemed to solve the problem for a couple of weeks; however, it just started again. I’ve tried updating the firmware for my soundbar but the file I downloaded from Samsung fails every time I’ve tried updating the soundbar via USB (little did I know at the time of purchase that this soundbar does not have wifi capabilities). My tv software is up to date as well. I intend to try to redownload the soundbar firmware update and try again, but has anyone experienced a similar issue? TIA.

Is the sound ok coming out of the tv with out the soundbar plugged in the tvs hdmi port.

Yeah the sound is normal on the tv when the soundbar is off - even on start up.

Sounds like its a connection it may be a driver guessing you have tried a software reset. Its typical the standard samsung warranty is only a year. Where did you buy it from

Bestbuy so I know the Samsung warranty is expired now 😞

Didnt realise you were in the usa. Try the usa forum forum for all warranty stuff as its different over here
