We are looking to purchase a 990d surround sound system. However, we only have the ue55nu7100k TV. It doesn’t appear to have eARC just ARC connections. Will this still work with our tv? I appreciate it might not be the full Dolby atmos experience but will it be far off of it? I’ve searched around and can’t really find much else on the matter apart from some saying the likes of Netflix app and Apple TV app might not play the Dolby experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 900A, so circa 3 to 4 years older than yours, the 990D is from what I have read a step up.
Without an eARC TV you lose the full bifta, but still good, depending on the deal.
Lastly, you can purchase HDMI to eARC converters.

Since your TV only has ARC, it is not going to send Dolby Atmos to the soundbar. However the 990D has rear HDMI ports. You may connect an additional device to this ports such as a Fire TV, Google Streamer etc. The soundbar processes Atmos in this case directly and forwards the video signal to the TV.
