Can I set my Soundbar to default audio output when I start my UE75NU8000?

I have my soundbar connected via optical cable to my tv. It turns on and off with the tv but I have to switch the audio output from tv speakers to the soundbar everytime I start my tv. Is there a way to define a standard and have the soundbar as default audio output channel? I was searching the internet and the settings menu but couldn't find a solution.

Here’s what I do that works pretty well:

Smart things app - automations

create an automation that will turn your soundbar on when your tv turns on. 

My tv will always connect to soundbar IF and only if my soundbar is also on.

Only downside is they can be flip flopped sometimes (ie I stream music to soundbar with tv off, next time I turn tv on it turns soundbar off)

Any update? Is there a way I can have a sound bar connected via bluetoooth default as the audio source?

Clearly, it it is beyond the capabilities of the “engineers”, if you can call them that.  

lots of complaints but zero action.  

A simple firmware change could make the tv default to previous conditions. 

maybe they aren’t real engineers
